We created a 5 engine vehicle
Here at morecarbon.org, we were certain we could do better than “hybrid” vehicles, which have both an electric motor and combustion engine, adding huge amounts of weight and complexity and substantially increasing the energy and resources needed to manufacture and sustain it.
We also were sure we could do better than the Tesla “dual motor” vehicles, which require a much more complex supply chain and larger amounts of exotic resources to manufacture than ordinary vehicles that most people drive, and then double it to have two motors because…. reasons.
The logic is more motors is better. Adding all kinds of extra weight to increase the energy needed to move it s a good thing — we certainly think so. Joyous, profligate energy expenditure, revelling in abundance, that’s the basis of our entire organization here at morecarbon.org.
So why be limited to a mere two engines? Going from one to two doesn’t impress us. Three is obviously better than two, but why stop there. We are ambitious.. We don’t just want to incrementally improve, but take a giant leap forwards.
For this reason our engineers have been hard at work on the world’s first five-engine vehicle. We call it: the Carbon Cruiser Pro Max.
The first engine is a custom 18 cylinder gasoline engine with over 300 hp.
The second engine is another, identical 18 cylinder gasoline engine just like the first, adding redundancy and more power
The third is a conventional diesel engine so we have vibrant diversity in our fueiling options and in our emissions
The fourth is a jet turbine, a scaled down version of the engine which powers the M1 Abrams battle tank. This greatly enhances our Fuel Diversity and allows the vehicle to achieve unparalleled acceleration and top speed.
Finally, we have an electric motor, but no battery, because batteries in vehicles are inefficient and unnecessary. The electric motor draws power from the surplus energy of the other 4 engines, which have plenty to spare. We say it’s one motor but actually its 4, one in each wheel, and allows for virtually instantaneous acceleration.
